Mumbai, NFAPost: Vodafone Idea Ltd (Vi) has welcomed some changes at the top executive level, with marketing director Avneesh Khosla promoted as the Chief Marketing Officer.

The Chief Digital Transformation Officer and Marketing Head, Kavita Nair has recently moved on from the company after 20 years. She was responsible for relaunching Vodafone-Idea as Vi – with a new revamped brand identity, logo and name.

In a recent interview, Nair adds that network integration and other technical nuances were considered as important first steps to integrate both the brands, and they decided to communicate to the consumers about the brand only after that. Her next move remains unknown.

Avneesh Khosla, will be taking over her role. He was previously the Director – Marketing and has been elevated to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. He has been associated with the company since 2002.

In October, the telecom company’s chief technology officer (CTO) Vishant Vora resigned after a decade-long stint. He was replaced by Jagbir Singh, who worked with rivals Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd.

In September, the two brands under Vodafone Idea-Vodafone and Idea-were integrated to Vi, which so far operated independently and had separate advertising campaigns. Idea has been a mass rural-focused brand, whereas Vodafone has a premium urban appeal.

The rebranding decision was announced amid the company’s plans to raise ₹25,000 crore in a combination of debt and equity, even as it continues to lose millions of subscribers every month. In September, Vi lost customers for the eleventh straight month
