The move to launch in Tamil Nadu is to capitalise the festive season sales; Tamil Nadu contributes 8% in Vivo’s overall revenue

Chennai, NFAPost: The global innovative smartphone brand Vivo expanded its Vivo V20-series line-up with the launch of V20 SE in Tamil Nadu.

Market share

Tamil Nadu contributes over 7% (by volume) to the overall smartphone market in India. Selling approximately 7 lakh smartphones per month, it contributes to more than 8% to overall vivo revenue. vivo currently enjoys a 28% market share by volume (as per GFK) in the Indian smartphone market, making it the largest brand in the country (by volume) in mainline retail.  Furthermore, in Tamil Nadu, vivo clocked 31% market share by volume in Q2, 2020 as per GFK.

Commenting on the launch, Vivo India Director-Brand Strategy Nipun Marya said Vivo’s focus is to deliver what its consumers want and expect from the company.

Additionally, the 33W Flash Charge technology along with a massive 4100mAh battery makes vivo V20 SE a perfect companion for daily usage.
