Bengaluru, NFAPost: The 26th China Yiwu International Commodities (Standards) Fair (aka Yiwu Fair) will be held at Yiwu International Expo Center, starting 21 October through 25 October 2020. Founded in 1995 as one of the three export exhibitions sponsored by China’s Ministry of Commerce, Yiwu Fair is now the largest and most influential, as well as the most effective daily necessities exhibition in China.

Yiwu Fair 2020 will be China’s first large-scale foreign trade exhibition presented both online and offline in the wake of the pandemic. It is expected to attract more than 50,000 professional buyers, with 3,400 international standard booths, covering hardware, electromechanical facilities, electronic & electrical appliances, daily necessities, crafts & ornaments, stationery & office goods, toys, sporting & outdoor products, knitwear, and gift packaging.

This year, Yiwu Fair will invite around 10 delegations or 1,600 persons from foreign trade organizations and representative offices based in China, and nearly 20 delegations or 1,800 buyers from domestic professional markets like department stores and supermarkets (convenience stores). To promote trade, 6 online trade matchmaking meetings will be held.

This year, around a hundred rounds of live streaming will be presented to promote live commerce. Cyberstars will live-stream at major e-commerce platforms to sell products and attract buyers for exhibitors. It is also planned to invite 12 Youtube, Facebook and Instagram influencers/celebrities to introduce Yiwu Fair to the world on their channels or pages as an effort to attract foreign customers and enhance brand image.

Meanwhile, Chinagoods.com, the official website of Yiwu Markets, will be launched on October 21. Based on 75,000 physical shops in Yiwu Markets, Chinagoods.com will serve 2 million small, medium and micro-enterprises in the upper reaches of the industrial chain, by integrating trade data, matching suppliers with buyers in the fields of product design, displaying, market management, logistics warehousing, and financing.

Meanwhile, a series of meetings and activities will be held, including the 3rd SME Standardization (International) Conference, the opening ceremony of the “Ten Thousand People Training”, the National Standard Release Conference, International Commodities Creative Design Competition, and Live Commerce Innovation Competition.

To promote online interaction and trade, all major events will also be brought online.
